What are ‘Picasa’ and ‘Picasa Web Albums’ -
- Picasa 3 (version 3) is a PC-based software package that is used to create and manage
Picasa Web Albums (PWA). Picasa Web Albums are online collections of photo albums.
- Troop 874 has used Picasa Web Albums (PWA) for many years to host Troop photos.
- The Troop’s PWA collection is linked on the Troop website www.troop874.com->links->photos.
- Even though Picasa and PWA are still supported by Google, they are no longer being
updated. They will eventually migrate everyone to their next-gen photo site called
Google Photos. We will cross that bridge when we come to it.
